Picture Day Schedules
Field Duty
Schedule----------------------Fundraiser----------------Concession Schedule
Thank you for volunteering to be a team parent
for this Fall Season 2001. You are an invaluable asset to
your team and to the Titusville Soccer Club.
Usually the first order of business is to assign one
family each week to bring snacks for the players after
each game. Alphabetical order seems to work.
On opening day, August 18th, we will pass out Picture
Envelopes and the picture schedule at the Concession
Stand. Please pick up enough for your players.
Picture Day is August 25th. Skip Coombs Photography is
doing the pictures again this year. Comp Teams will have
photos taken at the Sandrift Center on Friday night.
Since church services are now booked into the Sandrift
Center every Saturday, Skip Coombs will take pictures at
the field on Aug. 25.
Copies if the STRIKER (TSC newsletter) will be in the
Concession Stand each Saturday morning-please pick up
enough copies to give one to each parent during the game.
Information about the Candle-In-A-Jar fundraiser,
coaching clinics, ref. classes, DC Cup and other
tournaments, team standings, concession specials and
schedules and TSC Sponsors, etc. will be found in the
STRIKER.
Last but not least, each team will have to provide two
parents to work in the concession stand for one hour at
least once and maybe twice during the season. Teenagers
may volunteer to help in addition to the adults but
little ones can not be behind the counter.
The Friday night before it is your teams turn to
work in the concession stand, two or more parents will
need to be at the field at 5:30 to help sweep out the
Concession Stand, remove trash, line the fields, etc. in
preparation for Saturdays games.
If you have any questions feel free to call Team Parent
coordinator, Joan Bayless (269-1854) or any of the board
members listed in the Striker.
The Team Parent is a very important member
of each team. The team parent helps the coach by
organizing activities which occur during the season and
must be done. Our coaches have much to do with the
players. The team parent does the tasks such as
organizing the team snack schedules, the activities at
Picture Day, the Fundraiser tasks, assigning parents to
concession duty and field duty and helping making the
calls to players/parents for cancelled practices,
rescheduling, ect. By doing these tasks the team parent
allows the coach to spend more time with the players.
Please volunteer for this task especially if you notice
that the coach is trying to run a season without a team
parent.
